Introdução: Sweet Syndrome (SS) is a rare neutrophilic dermatosis, which causes are not fully understood, being extremely important to conduct studies and researches on this disease. Aim: The aim of these study is to report the case of a patient with SS after upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), besides describing the diagnostic criteria and therapeutic management. Case Report: A 61-year-old male patient started typical influenza symptoms, with subsequent onset of painful erythematous nodules in the upper limbs, followed by hospitalization and antibiotic therapy. During hospitalization, the skin lesions got worse and Sweet Syndrome was diagnosed. Empirical therapy with prednisone was performed in addition to skin biopsies and complementary screen tests for malignant neoplasms. Due to clinical condition improvement after corticosteroid therapy and negative screening for neoplasms, the patient was discharged from hospital and was referred for outpatient follow-up. Discussion: Usually, in idiopathic SS (classical SS), URTI usually develops one to three weeks before the appearance of skin lesions, which are followed by nonspecific extra-cutaneous symptoms. The cutaneous and systemic manifestations observed in this patient are consistent with those previously described in the literature.
