Abstract

Sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT), is a rare benign splenic vascular pathology, has a higher incidence in middle-aged women, asymptomatic and is generally diagnosed through na imaging examination finding. We report a case of SANT, diagnosed in a female patient, in following renal neoplasia, whose radiological finding was a suspected splenic nodular image for metastasis, in which videolaroscopic splenectomy was performed, with anatomopathological result of SANT. It has a good prognosis, with no report of local recurrences, therefore the diagnosis os SANT must be remembered in nodular imaging findings in the spleen.
